Efficient Construction is Sustainable Construction
As active participants in the land development industry we believe it is our responsibility to operate in a manner that minimizes the environmental impact of our activities. Sustainable practices are often more efficient practices and that means they are cost saving practices; for our clients and for their customers.
Sustainable practices are often more efficient practices and that means they are cost saving practices.
It starts with the client. We take a collaborative approach to implementing sustainable construction practices and products, placing the client’s objectives first and then working to align sustainable practices with the project scope.
Our team includes NAHB Certified Green Professionals who can identify the most appropriate and cost-effective green building solutions for each project. Pulling from the recommendations and resources of the major green building organizations to identify environmentally sensitive building methods and products, we analyze our options through strict value engineering guidelines and then oversee their implementation.
It is our responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of our industry. We believe sustainable construction practices emphasize efficiency – and that’s just good business.
We do not simply “build green” for the sake of “being green.” We do not gravitate to the newest, shiniest green technologies. We prefer to use smart, pragmatic, and sustainable processes and products that have proven long-term benefits on the local environment, energy efficiency, and waste reduction. There are many products and technologies available that are cost-effective and have been proven to minimize environmental impact. Often times it is as simple as using materials efficiently and recycling as much as possible.
